Three separate things are described on this page, and they are kept separate on purpose: the app, which collects nothing; an email you may choose to send us, which we then have; and this website, which is served by a host that keeps ordinary web server records.
The short version
- The app collects nothing. There is no sign-in, no profile and no identifier collected by it.
- Your plans are stored on your device and the app does not upload them to us.
- Device backups, such as iCloud Backup or a computer backup, may include them, under Apple's terms rather than ours.
- A card you export leaves the device through the destination you choose. It does not come to us.
- Deleting the app removes its local data. Exported cards and existing device backups may remain.
- No analytics, no crash reporting service, no third-party SDK, no advertising and no tracking, in the app or on this site.
- The app asks for no permissions: no camera, no photo library, no microphone, no location, no contacts and no notifications.
1. The app, and what it stores on your iPhone
Everything you enter stays in the app's own storage on your device: plan names and notes, the total braid weight, the unit you were last working in, the ply count, the strip counts, your color names, the starting end you chose, and which preparation steps you have marked complete.
That storage is part of the app, so a device backup can include it, and deleting the app removes the copy it stored on that device. We have no copy and no way to reach it.
Creating a plan, saving it, working through the checklist and exporting a card all work with no connection at all. The app contains no analytics and there is no server of ours for your data to go to.
Exporting a card
BraidPly can produce a one-page PDF card and a shareable image of a plan. This only happens when you ask for it.
The file is handed to the standard iPhone share sheet, and you choose what happens next: save it to Files, print it, email it, or send it to someone. From that point it is wherever you sent it, handled under the terms of whatever service or app you chose. Nothing is sent automatically, nothing is sent in the background, and none of it comes to us.
2. Email you choose to send us
If you write to support@codedrealities.com we have your message and your email address, because that is how email works. We use support correspondence to answer the request it is about, and for nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not use it for advertising.
This is entirely optional and entirely started by you. Nothing in the app sends us a message on its own, and the app works completely without ever contacting us.
The statements above about the app collecting nothing describe the app itself. They do not describe a message you decide to send us. Contact us at the same address about access to, or deletion of, support correspondence.
3. This website
These pages are static files. There is no JavaScript anywhere on this site, no cookie, no analytics, no tracking pixel, no embedded font, no image file and no third-party request. The only external link on the whole site is to Apple's refund page, on the support page, and it is a link: it loads nothing until you follow it.
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, it processes standard web server request data, such as your IP address and the page you asked for, in order to deliver that page and keep the service running. That is ordinary hosting, not something we set up to learn about you: we do not use it to build any profile, we run no analytics on it, and we do not combine it with anything else.
Reading this website is separate from using the app. The app does not open these pages, does not check this site, and works with the connection turned off.
Children
BraidPly is a tool for someone preparing fiber to spin. It collects nothing from anybody, of any age.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes the data it stored on that device. Two things are not covered by that: a card you already exported stays wherever you sent it, and an existing device backup may still contain your plans until that backup is replaced or removed.
For support correspondence, contact us about access or deletion.
Changes
If a future version of the app changes what it stores or where it goes, this page changes with it and the date below changes too. The App Store privacy information for the app is kept in step with this page.
Contact
Coded Realities LLC. support@codedrealities.com is the only contact address for this app.
